In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
